Pat Sziber Washington Crossing Audubon Society board member Hannah Suthers has maintained a bird-banding station on Featherbed Lane in Hopewell for many years. Hannah's research has helped ornithologists better understand the bird life of the Sourland Mountains and the phenomenon of migration through central New Jersey. Each year, Hannah welcomes WCAS members who visit her banding station on field trips, and she presented some of her findings at one of our Monday evening programs a few years ago. Financial support for Hannah's work has been an on-going commitment of Washington Crossing Audubon Society. Many members have asked how they can do even more. Anyone who wishes to contribute directly to support the bird-banding station may make out a check to Washington Crossing Audubon Society and write "Featherbed Lane Banding" on the memo line of the check. Because we are a non-profit organization, we can accept donations as a charitable gift. We will dedicate any such donations to further funding of Hannah Suthers' research.
