Pat Sziber Attention backyard birders! It's not too late to sign up for Project Feederwatch 2002-2003, a joint citizen science project of the Cornell University Lab of Ornithology and National Audubon. The Watch season begins November 9 and, if you can spend an hour or two on two consecutive days every two weeks counting backyard birds during the winter bird feeding season, you can participate. The data you report will provide valuable winter bird population data to the lab's bird population databank. You can submit your data either via the web or by regular mail. To find out more about this program and to enroll, go to http://www.birds.cornell.edu/pfw. Or write to Project FeederWatch, Cornell Laboratory of Ornithology, P.O. Box 11, Ithaca, NY 14851-0011. The cost for enrollment is $12 for Lab members and $15 for nonmembers.
