Birdathon 2026! May 9th to May 17th

Did you know that Washington Crossing Audubon Society does much more than just lead trips and host speakers?

In addition to these important public programs, we also speak up for birds, birders, and general conservation issues in public meetings and other forums. Additionally, we promote and conduct research on local bird populations, and help support the efforts of other local conservation organizations.

We can’t do any of this without your generosity. Birdathon is the one time a year when we ask for your donations.

There are two ways you can participate in Birdathon this year:

• The first is to simply make a donation in any amount during this year’s Birdathon.
• You can also pledge to make a per species donation for birds that you see during Birdathon. That can be for a single outing, a weekend, or the entire nine days of Birdathon.

It’s up to you.

Just decide on an amount to pledge per species and keep track of what species you see. We encourage you to share your checklists with us! If you use eBird, you can share your eBird checklists with us there. Our eBird username is WCASNJ. If you don’t use eBird, mail a list of birds you see to contact.wcas@gmail.com. We’ll compile your lists and post a recap of all the great birds you see to our website.

If you’d like to bird with us during Birdathon and base your pledges on what we see, you can join us at the Rogers Refuge in Princeton on Saturday, May 16. Details are in the events section, and no registration is necessary for the trip.
