Mark Manning: Reptiles & Amphibians of Mercer County

Monday, April 15, 2019, at 8:00 pm

New Jersey is home to approximately 70 species of reptiles and amphibians, and Mercer County hosts nearly 30 species in its forests, fields and wetlands. In this presentation, Mark will discuss the ecology and natural history of the frogs, salamanders, turtles and snakes native to our area.

Mark is a proud WCAS member and is a volunteer naturalist, avid birder and field herper. He has conducted or assisted in several reptile and amphibian inventories in the State of New Jersey. He has a B.S. in Environmental Science and Chemistry from Rider University, and is a teacher of chemistry and toxicology at Hopewell Valley Central High School. His greatest passion is exploring the outdoors with his family. In May Washington Crossing Audubon will welcome Mark as a member of the board!

Refreshments served at 7:30 pm; program begins at 8:00 pm.
