Recognition was given at the September meeting to those who outdid themselves to make Birdathon 2012 a success. Board members Mark Witmer (assisted by matching grants from Bristol-Myers Squibb) and Hannah Suthers were honored for bringing in the highest total amounts. Member Landis Eaton was presented with a Princeton University Press book for highest non-board total amount solicited and absent Jackie Springer will be similarly honored. A third PUP book will be presented to member Charles Brine for topping the lists at an astonishing 156 bird species observed that day.
