Mercer County Park NW Plan To Be Presented
Pat Sziber

The long-awaited overall plan for Mercer County Park Northwest will be presented by the Mercer County Park Commission and their planning consultant at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday, February 23 at the clubhouse at Mountain View Golf Course. The program will include a PowerPoint presentation and an opportunity for attendees to ask questions. The plan, which covers the Pole Farm and Rosedale Park, includes trail and access improvements, interpretive signage, a possible dog park and observation deck and incorporates the Lawrence-Hopewell Trail. Refreshments will be served.

We urge all who love MCPNW and, especially, the Pole Farm to attend. The Pole Farm is renowned for its grassland birds and wintering raptors and is designated an Important Bird and Birding Area.

Mountain View Golf Course is located at 890 Bear Tavern Road in Ewing Township just north of Exit 2 off I-95 and a bit south of the Mountainview Road intersection. If you are coming from the north, please remember that the Jacobs Creek bridge on Bear Tavern Road near Jacobs Creek Road is closed and you must follow detour signs.
