Sourlands Documentary
WCAS Board

"Sourlands will present the story of a place defined by ecological wealth and memorable citizenry. It is also a place that could easily lose its unique character. Ecologically, the Sourlands forest is under attack by invasive plant species, marauding deer herds, and a habitat splintered by human encroach-ment. Economically, the Sourlands straddle two of the richest counties in the United States, but not everyone who lives in the Sourlands shares in this wealth. High land prices, high property taxes, and development pressure threaten to drive out the locals and consume the forest. In short, Sourlands is a story about imbalance, and the effort to restore stasis."
